I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night, You are close like no other
I've known You as a Father
I've known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
Then, as all of us huddled in small groups to pray for the needs that were expressed, I prayed that God would speak to our hearts in a new way during the concert, even through a song we’d sung 100 times. During the concert, while singing those same words referenced above, God called to my mind one of the most difficult periods of my life, and how He had led me through those times. It made it hard to sing for a few moments as I was overcome with thankfulness for His enduring faithfulness.
Thinking about it now, it goes right with the sermon last week and how God loves to do His work in the midst of difficult situations. So, I challenge you today to not shy away from the challenges in your life, but look for the ways that God has shown His power in the middle of them. Such times can bolster our faith like nothing else.
