Today, I can honestly tell you that outside of regular Sunday morning worship services, Celebrate Recovery has been the most impactful ministry I have been a part of in my adult life. First off, it’s so much more than a drug and alcohol addiction program. It truly is designed for all of our hurts, habits, and hangups. In fact, most of our attendees are dealing with issues other than substance abuse. Secondly, we have had testimony after testimony from participants telling us how God has changed them over the past months, helping them overcome many various challenges in their lives. Thirdly, God has worked in my life through the principles I’ve learned—this program is for everyone!
The hardest part is the first part—admitting that we have a need—but no significant change can happen in our lives until we do that. If you know there’s something in your life that needs fixing, come join us on Thursday nights at 5:30 for a meal and 6:00 for our gathering. We’ll have worship music, a lesson or a testimony of how God has worked in people’s lives, then small group discussions. It’s hard to walk in the first time, but I guarantee you will be warmly welcomed and glad you came.
We are also looking for more leaders—and we’re in particular need of one more woman to be an assistant small group leader. If you have any interest in this, let me know and I’ll be glad to answer your questions.
