The story fast-forwards a couple years. Dan’s group returned to the same church to sing, and he encountered the same woman. This time, she came up to him with tears in her eyes and told him it was a “full-circle moment”, as her daughter had unexpectedly passed away, and one of the songs Dan had directed was “Hymn of Heaven”, which powerfully describes the end of pain and the beginning of eternal celebration as God’s people enter heaven. She told him that song had ministered to her greatly as she grieved the loss of her daughter.
Neither of these people had set out to specifically minister to each other, but just carried out their unique callings in life. In doing so, they powerfully touched each others’ lives. They were fortunate to have the privilege of hearing the stories of how this happened, but how often do these kinds of things happen when we never find out? Keep on living out your faith—you never know the impact you might have on another.
