For students, it means mourning the end of summer vacation and looking forward to seeing their classmates again. Part of being around so many people again means that their young minds will be influenced by those around them. Let’s pray that God would protect them from bad influences and strengthen their young faith!
For teachers, it means the return to a very busy, demanding schedule. It means going above and beyond to help students who are learning to navigate an increasingly difficult world. Let us pray that God would strengthen our teachers to have endurance for the school year and an eye for how they can minister through their classrooms.
For everyone at school, it means going back into close quarters with lots of people during a pandemic that we can’t seem to put behind us. Let us still remember to be vigilant about doing little things to protect each other and patient with those who have different viewpoints as to how to respond in the midst of it all. Let’s pray that we will see very few problems in our school from the virus.
For those of us unconnected with the school, keep praying. Remember how big a time your school days were. It has the opportunity to be the best times or the worst times of a young person’s life. Encourage the children in your life and take an interest in what they are learning and who they are associating with.
