As we look back at 2020, many of the things that happened we had little to no control over. It doesn’t do much good to dwell on those, but we can look back at the choices and decisions we DID make. Did we make the best of the opportunities we had, or did we squander them? This isn’t to give us guilt trips, but rather to help us focus upon real ways we can improve.
Most importantly, as we look into 2021, there will still be lots of things happen that we have no control over. Trying to control those things builds a lot of frustration. Instead, I encourage you to only make one resolution this year: that you will seek God each and every day. In doing so, we can learn to trust that He is present and at work in all circumstances, whether or not we understand it. We will also be more in tune with the things God wants us to do, and what He calls us to do, He will give us His power to do.
