I think it’s so important for God’s people to be a part of ventures like this. It meets needs and points people towards a loving God in a very real and practical way. I’ve already heard from other churches in the Double Mountain Baptist Association that they should have a lot of things to donate. We have an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of a lot of people.
I have never been in the position to have a medically fragile child that needed special equipment or medical supplies, so I cannot fully relate to families who have been in that situation. In fact, it’s hard for me to even imagine the stress and challenges that would place on a family’s life. Just seeing Grace with a fever or an ant bite isn’t much fun, but what would it be like to have a child with a long-term need for assistance?
If you have something to donate, the best way to do this would be to bring it to our DMBA quarterly gathering at FBC Aspermont on Sunday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. It will be a blessing to see all of the donations from our association all together. If that doesn’t work for you, let me know, and we’ll arrange another way to make sure your donation gets to them. If you don’t have equipment to donate, you can also write a check to the church marked “Joseph Thomas Foundation” and we’ll put all the donations together and send it to the foundation.
