As Kim and I prepared to come here a couple of years ago, the few people I had talked to about Cross Roads spoke of the church being a welcoming, kind, and generous people. At the time, it sounded like the common thing you would say about a church, but little did I know that this church was not common in any way! It goes above and beyond the welcoming, kind, and generous nature that most churches have, and I have been a blessed recipient!
From the day we showed up on the truck and a whole crowd was present to unload our stuff all the way through last Sunday’s lunch and generous cash gifts, you have shown the love of Christ to me and my family. You have been patient and encouraging as I grow into the role of senior pastor, always making me feel appreciated. You have been loving and supportive of Kim as she learned what it meant to be a pastor’s wife, discovered how to be a mom, and grew into her role of leading children’s messages. You have been like an extended family to Grace as she learns and grows every day.
So, thank you again, Cross Roads family, for being a people of God in this community. I am blessed to be your pastor, and I hope God allows me the privilege for many years to come. So, when I close each weekly letter with “Proud to be partnering with you in Christ”, I mean it!
