As we work our way out of this time of distancing, it will take some intentional effort to reach out and connect with our friends, neighbors, and community again. Let’s not let the isolation of the past year become the new normal. Let’s work hard to rebuild relationships that might have drifted, and be the ones who initiate new connections with people.
With that in mind, I would like to be more intentional to get to know each of you in this congregation better. It’s been good to get to know you a little here in the church building these past several months, but, I hope to get to spend more time with you on YOUR turf—at your home, place of work, in the field, at the ballpark, or wherever you spend your time. It’s in such situations that real relationships can be forged. As I have opportunity, I’ll be doing my best to reach out to you all, but I would also welcome your invitations to be a part of your life.
