If we’re not careful, we can become “spiritual hoarders”. A spiritual hoarder is one who collects Christian knowledge, but never uses it. It piles up inside, and they can regurgitate the information easily, but rarely find any practical use for it. They come to church regularly, but their life looks no different. They learn all the Bible stories, but never let it change their lives. They know all about the good news, but never tell anyone.
As James 1:22 says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” This Christmas, let’s be spiritual givers, not spiritual hoarders. Share the good news. Tell the world that Christ has come!
