I’ve really enjoyed working through each book of the Bible with you all on Sunday nights. It has reminded me that there are parts of the Bible I don’t know as well as I should. If we believe the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—is all God’s Word to us, shouldn’t we know what it says?
I don’t say any of this as a guilt trip, but rather as an encouragement. Come see what exciting truths lay in the lesser-known parts of the Bible! Yes, sometimes it’s hard to read and understand, but that’s why I really appreciate the people who have put together the video series we’re using. They do a great job of taking a complicated and often very foreign sounding part of scripture and helping us see the point and the purpose.
The experiences the ancient Israelites had really aren't all that different than what we experience today. Yes, the details are different, but the underlying human questions, concerns, problems, and struggles are very similar, and the answers, hopes, and reasons to celebrate all come from exactly the same heavenly Father we worship today!
Won’t you come and study with us as we broaden our understanding and appreciation for our God and His message to us?
