Perhaps you’ve never struggled with alcohol or drugs, but for most of us, there are things in our lives that are holding us back from being all that we could be. Perhaps it’s a tendency to overeat, a habit of stretching the truth (lying), a weakness for passing on the latest gossip, trouble with spending too much, being quick to anger...or any one of countless other “vices” we like to sweep under the rug.
Sin is difficult to overcome, and even more difficult to deal with alone. Celebrate Recovery creates a place where we can come together and all acknowledge that we are broken human beings in need of God. It’s a safe place to admit you’re not perfect and find accountability to seek God’s power to overcome our hang-ups.
None of us like admitting we’ve got problems, but it’s the first step in recovering from them. I’ll let you in on a secret—everyone knows you’ve got problems...because they have them too.
Whether you are desperately searching for answers or simply want to seek God’s help in overcoming a bad habit in your life, Celebrate Recovery is for you. Won’t you join us on Thursday nights at First Baptist Rotan at 6:00 starting on October 13?
