While I doubt you can remember being Grace’s age, think back to your childhood when you were learning new things. Maybe you can remember learning a sport or another level of math. Perhaps you learned how to do laundry or drive the four-wheeler. Children are always learning things, whether they realize it or not.
But what about those of us who are decades removed from being children? Are we still learning things as well? I hope so, but I fear that sometimes we become closed off to learning. Perhaps not intentionally, but somewhere along the line, we go from learning more to simply practicing and defending the things we’ve already learned.
God is infinitely deep, and we can always be learning more. We should learn from the Bible first, but we can learn how to understand and apply it differently through others and through our circumstances, but only if we’re willing. Are you a willing learner of God and His ways, or have you closed off your mind to a deeper understanding? Ask God to give you a spirit that is always learning.
